Stand In in Claude

It is under Customize, not Settings, which is where most people go looking first.

1. Customize → Connectors → the + next to Connectors.
2. Name it Stand In and paste the URL below. Leave advanced settings alone; Stand In advertises its own auth server, so there is no Client ID to enter.
3. Click Add, then connect and approve.

Reading a capsule someone shared needs none of this. Add /api/respond/mcp instead and skip sign-in entirely.

On Team or Enterprise, an Owner has to add it once under Organization settings → Connectors before anyone else can. Claude reaches your server from Anthropic's cloud, not your laptop, so it has to be on the public internet: localhost will not work.

Then just talk to it

Once it is connected, Stand In is something you say, not something you open.
